Apprenticeship training is a form of education that incorporates work place training with technical in-school training. Since 1972, IEC has conducted apprenticeship training programs under standards approved by the U.S. Department of labor.
•IEC’s four year program curriculum is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.
•180 hours of classroom training per year with lectures, demonstrations, labs, homework, and a comprehensive final that must be passed prior to graduation to the next level.
•2,000 hours on-the-job training per year which is administered by numerous IEC offices nationwide.
•The nationally approved curriculum is in use nationwide by nearly 10,000 apprentices annually.
•Dedicated professional staff to assist you in moving apprentices through the program.
With a growth rate in excess of 20% per year, IEC’s apprenticeship program is rapidly becoming recognized as the premier electrical apprenticeship program in the industry. Through this combination of education, training, and hands-on experience, students not only learn an understanding of theory, operation and code, but they learn how to develop management and leadership skills. As an electrical contractor, continuing your education and supplementing it throughout your career is vital to achieve success. IEC features various programs, products and links to events that can help you keep abreast with changes in the industry, offer networking opportunities and information on cutting edge business techniques.
